Questions That Bothers Me…
I have come across many individuals crossed my path like stranger and being myself as outspoken or extrovert, I started talking to know, “what they have done?” and “what they are doing in their life?” Such curiosity of mine always thrive me with bullets in my mind with lot many questions asking for What, Why, How & Then… which happens in anyone’s career.
We all need directions in our life and that comes from the person who can help us in understanding our self to self, in terms of ”what we have done so far in our life as in different phases of life we were surrounded and inherited?” From our childhood, what our parents has taught their ethics are we following them? Or we have built our self with the combination of sets, we learnt from every segment of life we cross by.
What to focus while choosing a skill to grow?
Every individual is intelligent as per the education and training he/ she must have undergone so far. But still many does the mistake of being over confidence that they can do everything. Sorry to say but even a genius person can mastery of one key skill-set and expand the same in related field of interest.
In today’s fast pace of life, where everyone is running on to a race of earning maximum in life and upon failure lead down to stress, irritation, mental health issues, depression which may result in severe health problems to any individual.
A story form Ancient mythology
To make it simple, I would like to narrate a short story which is known to everyone as a scene from “Mahabharata” where every prince of Kaurav’s and Pandva’s were sending to Guru Dronacharya for their education and weapon training. All princes were tested over their inherited skills by guru with different mode of practice. He hanged a bird in the middle of bushes over the branch of tree and told everyone to target the eye of bird with Arrow. But before hitting the target, they must explain what they are seeing? Everybody has different perception of the aiming the bird’s eye, which explains the consideration level of every child through their perspective as per their identity.
On asking to Yudhishtir, he aimed the target but before hitting it… he was considering the surrounding as there was a nest on the branch with new born birds to it what will happen if his arrow pray will destroy it while falling down. Guru explained such nature of judging makes his quality of king who thinks of after effect of action and caring for the living being around the aim.
When the target was given to Arjun, he explained the aim as just as eye of the bird is visible nothing else around. As he shot the arrow that hit the directly to the eye given, Guru explained the level of consideration by Arjun that he used his controlled power to aim the eye that directly hit to it nothing apart which results him the best Arrow striker in the world ever know.
But one thing must be consider that Guru’s guidance and training helped them to achieve the result of their skills to come out from them.
And the rest we all know how Pandva’s were known for their best skill.
Why Guide or Counsellor?
Gurus were the most noble profession ever since, which is called to be a Teacher in current world. Many different segments of organisation have set different positions for people who are into Teaching, Coaching and Mentoring people according to the organisational goal not to an individual’s perspective.
When it comes to choose personal life goals, we need a guide & counsellor who are equipped with the knowledge to churn all our learning’s till date. He brings out what major skills; we have inherited in combination of thinking process against action we perform during different situations. Our behavioral Quotient, Intellectual level, Performance deliverance along with decision making & Risk taking ability all comprises at certain level of degree in individuals personality. And those results into a field of profession suitability vary person to person.
As career consultant and coaches help to identify which career one should pursue by analyzing many aspects. I must say, “They act to construct a bridge that gives direction to achieve success in career”.
